Carefully cutting each part, sanding them individually and then painting them with varnish before attaching them together will make the whole thing simpler. The elbow part of the arm rest should be thinned down by two inches. Divide a pair of supports vertically to your planned height. Place the holes for the screws for connection. Sanding all of the parts will make varnish adhere well to the wood and solve the problem of unwanted splinters. To assemble your lounge, start with the two frame parts. Attach the pieces to the two by four side parts with the help of screws. You can also use screws to attach the legs to the frame.
